Occasionally koalas require longer-term care due to the nature of their injuries. Judy, an 8kg female came into care with a large open wound resultant from a dog attack. She remained inside to prevent further infection and needed daily wound cleansing and dressings. Judy’s 6 weeks of rehabilitation resulted in a positive outcome and she was released to her home habitat after vet clearance.
